DoorBird IP Video Door Station D2101WV Touch-Free

DoorBird has been working hard to research, develop and test how they can play there part in improving the safety of all in the current pandemic situation (COVID-19).

The result of there work is the Touch-Free call module, which is integrated for the first time in a new door station model "D2101WV".

The new model DoorBird D2101WV enables contactless ringing, thus protecting people's health. Visitors, customers and patients can no longer come into contact with viruses and bacteria by touching the doorbell. Buildings with a high number of visitors, such as hospitals, kindergartens, medical offices and other office buildings, can highly benefit from the contactless doorbell as it can help contain the spread of the Coronavirus.

The integrated module with a special sensor technology detects gestures, such as waving and approaching of the hand, at a distance of 10 centimeters and triggers a bell signal at an IP chime or indoor station. The gesture sensor combines various technologies simultaneously for this purpose, including ambient light, RGB and infrared light sensor technology.

The hand gesture can also trigger a preconfigured relay which then opens the door automatically. Other actions can also be performed, for example, to send a push notification to the homeowner's smartphone or an HTTP(S) call to a building automation system, or to initiate a SIP call. The modern IP technology also enables communication with visitors via mobile devices. Homeowners can talk to their guests using smartphones and tablets, see them live on the screen, and open the door via the DoorBird app. With the DoorBird D2101WV, the contactless access solution has thus become a reality.
